Two Injured as Car Strikes Building on Rte 37 in Island Heights, NJ

Island Heights, NJ (July 16, 2026) – Two people were hurt on Wednesday afternoon, July 15, after a car crashed into a building along Route 37 in Ocean County.

The vehicle left the road and struck a building near 1677 Route 37, close to a Shell gas station. Island Heights Fire Department and EMS arrived quickly and helped the people involved.

Both were taken to hospital for treatment. Further details about the wreck were not immediately available.

What led the vehicle to strike the building remains unclear, the invetsigtaion remains active.
