Atlantic City, NJ (July 22, 2026) – Multiple people were injured Tuesday afternoon, July 21, following a collision on the Albany Avenue bridge in Atlantic City.
Atlantic City Police responded to the wreck shortly before 4:00 p.m. and evaluated those hurt on site before taking them to a local hospital for treatment.
The circumstances surrounding the crash remain under review.
Our thoughts are with those affected as they continue their recovery.

In New Jersey, a person generally has two years from the date of a crash to file a personal injury lawsuit. Missing this window can prevent someone from pursuing compensation altogether, regardless of how serious their injuries were.
The two-year clock generally starts on the date of the crash itself, though certain circumstances, such as claims that involve a minor or a government entity, can shorten or otherwise affect that timeline. New Jersey also requires that claims against public entities, such as those that involve a poorly maintained bridge or roadway, be filed within 90 days under a separate notice requirement.
Because evidence like traffic camera footage, vehicle data, and witness memories can fade quickly, waiting too long to act can also make it harder to build a strong claim even within the legal deadline. In these cases, a car accident lawyer can help people understand which deadlines apply to each specific situation and works to gather the necessary documentation before it becomes harder to obtain.
At Metro Law, we can help determine which filing window applies to your situation. Our team is available to answer questions about your specific timeline.
