Bridgewater, NJ (March 12, 2025) – A motorcycle injury crash occurred on Tuesday on Route 22 West in Bridgewater, leaving the motorcyclist with serious injuries. The crash happened at approximately 12:56 p.m. near Open Road Volkswagen.

According to the Bridgewater Police Department, a 30-year-old man from Iselin was driving a 2023 Tesla Model Y in the left lane of Route 22 West when he was rear-ended by a 2016 BMW 1000rr motorcycle. The impact of the collision caused significant damage to both vehicles.

The 19-year-old male motorcyclist was immediately attended to by paramedics and transported by Martinsville Rescue Squad to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick with serious injuries. The crash scene was secured by Bridgewater Police, who coordinated with the local fire department for vehicle extraction and managed traffic flow as they worked to clear the wreckage.
