Princeton, NJ (March 12, 2025) – A pedestrian injury crash occurred on Tuesday afternoon in Princeton, leaving a 74-year-old man seriously injured. The incident, reported by Princeton Police, happened around 3:44 p.m. on Wiggins St, near Sylvia Beach Way.

According to the Princeton Police Department, the 17-year-old driver was traveling westbound on Wiggins St in a 2012 gray Honda Odyssey when they made a left turn onto Sylvia Beach Way. At the same time, 74-year-old Hin Chin was walking eastbound on the southern sidewalk of Wiggins St. The car hit Chin, causing him to suffer a serious head injury.

First responders, including EMS and paramedics, arrived at the scene shortly after the crash. They determined that Chin required immediate medical attention and needed to be transported via helicopter to Capital Health Regional Medical Center in Trenton. Authorities established a landing zone at Princeton High School for the helicopter, and Chin was airlifted to the hospital, where he remains hospitalized with serious injuries.

The crash caused a temporary traffic disruption on Wiggins St and Sylvia Beach Way, as authorities worked to control the scene. Firefighters assisted in managing the situation and ensured that all necessary precautions were in place while clearing the area.
