Brooklyn, NY – Major Car Accident on I-278 near Atlantic Ave
Brooklyn, NY (March 14, 2023) – A serious car accident happened in Brooklyn on the afternoon of March 14. At approximately 3:45 p.m., crews were dispatched to the scene of the crash on Interstate 278.
Responders found vehicles at the crash scene that had collided for reasons being investigated by police. The wreck occurred on the Brooklyn Queens Expressway at Atlantic Avenue.
While police and paramedics worked to assist the people involved in the accident, the right lane of traffic was blocked. Consequently, traffic was stopped back to the Prospect Expressway. Authorities urged drivers to find alternate routes for the time being.
Investigations into the details of the crash are currently underway.
