New York Pedestrian Accidents
New York pedestrian accidents happen all the time. Protecting pedestrians has become a serious issue in the state of New York and throughout the country, especially in the past decade. In fact, campaigns have been created by the Governor’s Traffic Safety Committee to increase public awareness about the importance of pedestrian safety.
Pedestrians often travel in bike lanes and on sidewalks, always near fast-moving vehicles that are much heavier than they are. Additionally, pedestrians have no protection against these vehicles when accidents happen, which means they are always at risk of sustaining serious injuries.
