Dennis Twp, NJ (October 16, 2024) – A fatal head-on car crash occurred on Tuesday afternoon on RTE 47, resulting in the death of a Pennsylvania driver and serious injuries to another individual. The accident took place near the intersection with Tyler Rd.

According to reports from the New Jersey State Police, the crash involved a sedan and an SUV. Sgt. Jeffrey Lebron stated that troopers responded to the scene at approximately 12:28 p.m. Investigators determined that the Toyota sedan, driven by 55-year-old Thomas Grau of Falls, Pennsylvania, crossed the centerline and collided with the oncoming SUV.

Grau sustained fatal injuries in the crash, while the 74-year-old driver of the SUV was airlifted to a local hospital for treatment. The specific nature of his injuries has not been disclosed, but the circumstances of the crash are currently under investigation.

The Dennis Twp Fire Department dispatched 15 firefighters to the scene to assist in freeing the injured driver from his vehicle.
