The rider, whose identity has not been released, sustained severe injuries and was airlifted to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center in Atlantic City for treatment. The driver and passengers of the Ford F250 were unharmed.
The crash led to road closures on English Creek Avenue between Dogwood Avenue and Boxwood Avenue for about four hours as officers investigated the scene.

We send our thoughts to the injured motorcyclist and hope for a full recovery.
Motorcycle Accidents in New Jersey
Motorcycle accidents, like this recent one, are often more severe due to the lack of protection for the rider. In New Jersey, motorcycles are a popular mode of transportation, but they come with higher risks than other vehicles on the road. Motorcycle accidents can result in catastrophic injuries, including fractures, head trauma, and spinal injuries, even in seemingly minor crashes.
Some common causes of motorcycle accidents include:
- Speeding and reckless driving: Motorcyclists often try to navigate traffic quickly, especially in heavy congestion. Speeding and weaving through lanes can increase the risk of collisions with other vehicles.
- Left-turn accidents: As seen in this crash, many motorcycle accidents occur when drivers make left turns into the path of an oncoming bike. Motorcycles are smaller and harder to see, especially for drivers of larger vehicles.
- Road conditions: Motorcycles are particularly vulnerable to road hazards like potholes, uneven surfaces, or debris. These obstacles can cause a rider to lose control and crash.
- Inexperienced riders: Many motorcycle crashes involve riders who are not fully trained or familiar with how to handle a bike in different road conditions. Riders should always ensure they have the proper training before taking a bike out on busy roads.
Injured motorcyclists may be entitled to compensation for medical bills, lost wages, and pain and suffering after an accident. However, pursuing a personal injury claim can be complex, especially when multiple parties are involved.
In the aftermath of a motorcycle accident, it’s essential to have an experienced motorcycle accident attorney on your side. A skilled lawyer can investigate the details of the crash, gather evidence, and advocate on your behalf to ensure you receive fair compensation.
