Egg Harbor Twp, NJ (November 8, 2024) – An injury car crash occurred in Egg Harbor Township on Thursday afternoon just before 4:30 p.m. at the intersection of Mill Rd and Orchard Rd. The collision, which involved a head-on crash between two vehicles, resulted in at least one person being injured and requiring extraction from their vehicle.
The Egg Harbor Township Police Department reports that a 2015 Toyota Camry was traveling westbound on Mill Rd when, for reasons still under investigation, the vehicle veered into the eastbound lanes of traffic. As the Camry approached the intersection with Orchard Rd, it collided head-on with a 2016 transport van traveling eastbound.
Despite the van driver’s best efforts to swerve and avoid the crash, the Toyota struck the front driver’s side corner of the van, causing significant damage to both vehicles. The force of the impact caused the Toyota to become lodged under the transport van. Emergency responders, including fire department personnel, were called to the scene to assist in the rescue efforts.
At this time, the identities of those involved in the crash have not been publicly released, as the investigation is still ongoing. The Egg Harbor Township Police Department has confirmed that no citations or charges have been filed at this stage.
