New Jersey Car Accidents
Car crashes are a serious problem throughout the United States. Every single year, millions of accidents are reported that injure and take the lives of countless people. Most of these happen due to the negligent actions of drivers. In the past decade, negligent driving has become a prevalent problem in the United States. A large percentage of American drivers admit to sending or reading text messages while behind the wheel, which is a potentially deadly act. The average text message takes about five seconds to read. If you do this while driving at 55 mph, you will have traveled about the length of two football fields without looking at the roadway. This is extremely dangerous and could end in severe injuries or even death for everyone involved.
The New Jersey Department of Transportation has issued reports concerning relevant motor vehicle collision data that are utilized to better understand why auto collisions occur and how to stop them from happening. Tracking car crash data is one of the most effective ways to reduce the number of auto collisions that happen and spread awareness.
