Fort Lee, NJ (January 10, 2024) – A fatal pedestrian crash happened in Fort Lee in the early morning hours of Wednesday, January 9. At approximately 5:20 a.m., emergency crews were sent to the wreck scene at the intersection of Lemoine Avenue near Bruce Reynolds Boulevard. According to local reports, the incident involved the 159 bus line that was headed to the Port Authority Bus Terminal from Fort Lee. Authorities say the 60-year-old male victim was crossing Bridge Plaza South at Lemoine Avenue when the bus took a left turn and struck him. Police officers from Fort Lee and the Port Authority immediately responded to the scene and attempted to save the victim by performing CPR. The pedestrian was then transported to Englewood Hospital in critical condition and was later pronounced deceased. Authorities in Fort Lee continue to investigate the accident.
