Hamilton, NJ – Jessica Lavin Killed in Collision on Rt 50 near Spruce St

Hamilton, NJ (August 16, 2023) – In the early morning hours of Tuesday, August 15, police in Hamilton were dispatched to the scene of a pedestrian accident. Reports show the wreck occurred near Spruce Street at around 1:18 a.m. 

Preliminary reports reveal the collision occurred when a 2013 Honda Pilot struck a pedestrian identified as Jessica Lavin on Route 50. Lavin was transported to Atlanticare City Division Hospital for treatment. Shortly after arriving, she was pronounced deceased by medical professionals. 

The cause of the accident is still under local police investigation at this time. 

Road blockages were put in place on Route 50 near Spruce Street while emergency responders worked to secure the scene, causing notable traffic delays in the area. 

Police continue to investigate the details of the accident.
