Lacey Township, NJ (August 12, 2025) – A pedestrian was tragically killed in a crash late Monday night, August 11, on Route 9 in Lacey Township. The incident occurred around 10:24 p.m. when a 2002 Toyota Tundra struck 47-year-old Alycia Mullin of Waretown.
According to the Lacey Township Police Department, Kevin Kazmierski, 61, of Forked River, was driving northbound on Route 9 when he struck Mullin, who was crossing the road near Taylor Lane. Emergency responders quickly arrived at the scene, where Mullin was found with life-threatening injuries. She was transported to Community Medical Center, but unfortunately succumbed to her injuries.
The area of Route 9 between Taylor Lane and Lakeside Drive South was temporarily shut down while the crash was investigated, but has since been reopened. The Lacey Township Police Department’s Fatal Accident Support Team (FAST) is leading the investigation, and further details are expected to be released as the inquiry progresses.
