Linden, NJ (January 20, 2025) – A multi-vehicle accident early Sunday morning, January 19, claimed one life and left at least two others injured on the New Jersey Turnpike in Union County.

New Jersey State Police were called to the southbound lanes of the turnpike near milepost 96.4 in Linden following reports of a crash involving multiple vehicles. Emergency crews arrived at the scene to find four vehicles involved in the collision. One of the vehicles had an occupant who was trapped and suffered severe injuries.

Despite efforts by first responders, one individual was pronounced dead at the scene. Two additional victims sustained injuries that were considered non-life-threatening. Medical personnel on-site provided treatment to the injured before transporting them to nearby hospitals for further care.
