New York Pedestrian Crashes
New York pedestrian collisions happen all too often. Preserving the safety of pedestrians in the Empire State has become more and more difficult, especially in the past ten years. In fact, the Governor’s Traffic Safety Committee has created campaigns to increase awareness about pedestrian safety.
Pedestrians often travel on sidewalks and in bike lanes, in close proximity to fast-moving, heavy vehicles. Also, pedestrians are totally unprotected against the force of these vehicles if a crash does happen. While pedestrians are traveling, whether on foot or on their bikes or scooters, they are at a high risk of sustaining severe injuries if they become involved in an accident.
