Manville, NJ – Teen Fatally Struck by Pickup truck on N Main St near Marketplace Mall

Manville, NJ (December 23, 2022) – A freshman in high school lost his life after he was hit by a pickup truck in Manville on Tuesday evening, December 20. The 14-year-old was struck at around 6:30 p.m. 

Reports show the accident happened on North Main Street near the Marketplace Mall when the teenager was struck by a 2019 Ford F-150. Police and medics rendered aid at the scene before the young man was transported by helicopter to a trauma center at RWJ University Hospital in New Brunswick where he later died. 

The pickup truck’s driver, identified as a man from Somerset County, age 40, stayed at the scene and cooperated with police. The truck was towed from the scene. 

At this time, authorities continue to investigate the details of the accident.
