Marlboro, NJ – Two Men Killed in Five Vehicle Accident on Rt 18
Marlboro, NJ (August 3, 2023) – Police have identified the two motorcyclists who lost their lives in a five-vehicle collision in Marlboro on Monday night, July 31. Kashon Cross, an 18-year-old Hazlet resident, and 22-year-old Gregory K. Tutt Jr. were killed in the accident.
The Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office reports the wreck happened in the northbound lanes of Route 18 near the exit for Route 520. Police have not reported how the incident occurred, except to say that two passenger vehicles and an SUV, as well as two motorcycles, were involved.
The highway was closed for an extensive time while crews worked to clear the scene, causing substantial traffic delays on Monday night. Authorities in Marlboro continue to investigate the circumstances of the accident.
