New York Car Crashes
Vehicle wrecks continue to be one of the top reasons people are killed and injured in the state of New Jersey. Every year, numerous people are sent to the hospital with severe injuries, including brain injuries, spinal cord injuries, and more due to auto collisions. Unfortunately, many of these accidents occur at busy intersections throughout the Garden State.
There are many reasons why collisions take place at intersections. One main cause is errors made by drivers. This includes things like running stop signs or red lights, improper turns, or failing to yield the right-of-way. Other times, it’s simply a matter of inattention and not seeing the other vehicle coming in time.
Another leading cause of intersection accidents is when one driver attempts to drive through a yellow light at the last minute and ends up T-boning another vehicle that’s already in the intersection. This is especially dangerous because there’s never enough time for either driver to react and avoid a crash.
There are some instances where weather conditions can contribute to intersection accidents. For example, if it’s snowing, raining, or foggy, and visibility is reduced, it can be more difficult to see other vehicles. Also, slick roads can make it a difficult task to stop in a timely manner if another car suddenly appears in front of you.
Sometimes, people suffer injuries that are so severe they end up losing their lives.
