Monroe, NJ – Richard Lupton Killed in Multi-Vehicle Crash on Malaga Rd
Monroe, NJ (November 11, 2022) – A truck driver was killed on Thursday, November 10th near Morgan Road in Gloucester County during a multi-vehicle crash that left another driver badly injured.
62-year-old Richard Lupton, a resident of the Newport area of Downe Township, was driving a pickup truck towing a trailer eastbound on Malaga Road in Monroe Township when a car veered into oncoming traffic and struck him.
The impact caused Lupton to swerve into the opposite lane and slam into the driver’s side of an SUV before leaving the roadway and crashing into a tree.
Lupton died due to the severity of his injuries.
The driver of the initial striking vehicle, a 30-year-old Camden resident, was med-flighted to Cooper University Hospital in serious condition.
The driver of the SUV, a 27-year-old woman from Millville, was also hospitalized. Her current condition is unknown.
