North Plainfield, NJ – Woman, Boy Struck by Hit & Run Driver at Mountain Ave & Jeffries Place
North Plainfield, NJ (November 2, 2022) – A woman and a young boy were trick-or-treating on Monday night when they were struck by a hit-and-run driver in North Plainfield. The pair were struck at around 6:20 p.m.
Reports indicate that the 21-year-old woman and 6-year-old boy were attempting to cross at the intersection of Mountain Avenue and Jeffries Place when they were struck by a driver who then fled the scene without stopping to render aid.
Both victims were transported to a local trauma center to be treated for the injuries they sustained in the collision. The relationship between the victims has not been reported at this time.
Authorities in North Plainfield continue to investigate the details of the incident.
