One Dead, One Hurt After Crash on Garden State Pkwy in Lacey Twp., NJ

Lacey Township, NJ (June 24, 2026) – One person died and another was seriously hurt Tuesday night, June 23, after a wreck on the southbound Garden State Parkway near Milepost 74.

Emergency units were sent to the scene shortly after 8:30 p.m. for a report of a crash with someone trapped inside a vehicle.

Crews worked to free the person from the heavily damaged vehicle. One person was pronounced dead at the location, while the second was freed and flown by helicopter to a regional trauma center.
