Residential Fires in New Jersey
Some of the leading causes of New Jersey building fires, house fires, and apartment fires are:
- Defective appliances
- Faulty electrical wiring
- Damaged or incorrectly installed gas lines
- Blocked chimney flues
- Malfunctioning furnaces or boilers
In addition to discovering the fire’s cause, it is also important to determine if the actions of a third party contributed to the fire or to a resident’s inability to safely escape the structure.
If a third party is found to have acted negligently, a burn injury victim or their surviving relatives could have a feasible claim against them for their losses or wrongful death.
