Plumsted, NJ – One Hospitalized After Structure Fire on Pinehurst Rd

Plumsted, NJ (November 18, 2022) – On Thursday, November 17th, firefighters from New Egypt Township and Plumsted Township were dispatched to the 400th block of Pinehurst Road (Route 539) at about 12:00 p.m. for reports of a structure fire.

After they reported to the scene, they discovered a small transmission shop, roughly 50 x 60-foot, heavily engulfed in flames. Mutual aid was requested from multiple area departments.

Millstone Township, Township-Allentown, Cookstown, Jackson Township, Jacobstown, and others also responded to the area. A tanker task force was on the scene to provide water and fire crews used two ladders and hand lines for master stream operations.

The fire was brought under control fairly quickly, but responders remained on the scene to overhaul the blaze.

A medical helicopter was dispatched for one person who was seriously burned in the structure fire. A landing zone was established at New Egypt Speedway but, due to the helicopter being recalled, the victim was taken by ambulance to an area hospital.

Officials reported that the business was completely decimated by the fire, which is still under investigation.

Our thoughts are with the injured victim and their family at this time. We hope for their full recovery.

Structure Fire Injuries in New Jersey

Plumsted, NJ - One Hospitalized After Structure Fire on Pinehurst Rd

If you experienced considerable losses or personal injury in a fire, we strongly urge you to contact a New Jersey personal injury lawyer that has the resources, knowledge, and staff required to fully investigate and pursue the claim that best fits your circumstances.

It is not uncommon for fires to be caused by the negligent actions of more than one party. The causes of most fires are often rooted in human error.

Sorting out the exact cause of a fire, and deciding who should be held accountable for the injuries and losses it caused, is an issue that demands an immediate investigation by the victim’s attorney. Additionally, the intricate technical issues that usually accompany fire accident claims often involve the application of tricky state and federal regulations, laws, and industry standards.

In many instances, victims suffer from serious accidents caused by the negligent actions of product designers or manufacturers, landlords, building managers, and contractors. When innocent victims are injured in preventable accidents, they may be eligible to file a legal claim against the at-fault party.
