Queens, NY – Deadly Pedestrian Collision on Cross Island Pkwy Takes One Life
Queens, NY (August 17, 2023) – A fatal pedestrian crash happened Monday morning, August 14, in Queens. Police report the wreck occurred at around 5:15 a.m.
A woman was attempting to cross the Cross Island Parkway in Cambria Heights when she was struck by a black SUV. Paramedics and police promptly responded to the wreck site to render aid and investigate.
The woman, who has not been identified at this time, was pronounced deceased on-site by medical professionals. Traffic was disrupted in the area for some time, forcing local drivers to use alternate routes.
Police in Queens are still investigating the circumstances of the collision.
