Queens, NY – Pedestrian Injured After Crash on 37th Ave

Queens, NY (December 2, 2024) – An injury pedestrian crash occurred in Astoria, Queens, on Sunday afternoon. The incident occurred at approximately 1:34 p.m. near the intersection of 3563 37th Ave. According to authorities, the victim, whose identity has not yet been released, was hit while crossing the road.

Emergency services responded quickly to the scene following the 911 call. The victim was found with serious injuries and was immediately transported by paramedics to a nearby hospital. Authorities confirmed that the pedestrian was conscious upon arrival at the hospital, though their condition remains critical.

The driver involved in the collision remained at the scene and cooperated with the authorities. At this time, no charges have been filed as the investigation continues. Traffic on 37th Ave was temporarily blocked while the situation was managed, and the fire department assisted with vehicle removal and clearing the scene.
