Ridgewood, NJ (February 18, 2022) – A babysitter is in the hospital after she fell through the floor of a single-family home under renovation in the 400th block of Prospect Street in Ridgewood on Friday, February 18th.
The young boy was not hospitalized in accordance with his father’s wishes following an evaluation by members of the Ridgewood Ambulance Corps.
The babysitter, whose leg went through the floor, was taken to The Valley Hospital.
According to investigators, the hardwood floors in the home were being replaced and a piece of subfloor that was weak due to a knot in the wood gave out when the sitter stepped on it.
