South Brunswick, NJ – Two Injured in Car Wreck on Rt 1 near New Rd

South Brunswick, NJ (January 24, 2024) – An injury accident happened in South Brunswick on Wednesday morning, January 24. 

At approximately 6:56 a.m., emergency responders were dispatched to the crash scene. It happened on Route 1 near New Road, according to information provided by police. An Uber driver and a passenger suffered serious injuries in the wreck. A dump truck and the Uber vehicle were involved in a collision, sources said. How it happened remains under investigation by area authorities at this time. Portions of the road were blocked off for hours after it happened, forcing local drivers to use alternate routes.
