Toms River, NJ – Pedestrian Accident Ends in Injuries on Rt 37 near Hawser Place
Toms River, NJ (April 26, 2023) – A woman was seriously injured when she was struck by a car while walking along a roadway in Toms River on Sunday, April 23. Her identity has not been released at this time.
Sources say the crash occurred shortly after 6:00 p.m. near Hawser Place near Route 37. The exact circumstances of the incident are still being investigated by local police at this time.
When police arrived at the crash scene, she was conscious and alert. She was airlifted to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune to receive treatment for a serious leg injury, officials said.
The driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with authorities. Police in Toms River continue to investigate.
