Wall, NJ – Two Killed in Auto Accident on Garden State Parkway

Wall, NJ (December 19, 2022) – Two men from Toms River lost their lives in a car crash on Sunday afternoon, December 18. The accident happened at around 1:30 p.m., according to reports. 

Sources say a Chevrolet Equinox driven by Jerome Digiovanni, 75, was stopped on the right shoulder near Exit 98 in Wall. Digiovanni and Ronald Devingo, 67, were standing outside the car when they were hit by a Jeep Wrangler driven by 24-year-old Christopher Mulholland, of Belmar. 

The Wrangler flipped over due to the accident. Devingo was a passenger in the Equinox. Both Devingo and Digiovanni were pronounced deceased at the scene. Mulholland sustained minor injuries in the accident. 

Police are working to determine the cause of the incident.
