Newark, NJ – Vehicle Collision with Injuries Reported on Broad St near Prudential Dr

Newark, NJ (December 27, 2022) – A traffic accident reported in the South Broad Valley neighborhood of Newark sent at least one person to an area hospital with injuries. On December 25, the Newark Police Department responded to the scene of a crash that took place on Broad Street.

At around 6:20 p.m., a collision between vehicles blocked Broad Street in the area near Prudential Drive. The incident blocked the road, causing delays throughout the area.

The Newark Police Department and area firefighters responded to the scene to provide assistance. Emergency personnel blocked off multiple lanes throughout the area as they worked to clear the roadway.

At least one person suffered injuries due to the crash and was transported to a local hospital.
