Mother, Child Hurt in Hit-and-Run on Broadway in Fair Lawn, NJ

Fair Lawn, NJ (August 11, 2026) – A mother and her young child were hurt on Tuesday morning, August 11, after a driver struck them while they were crossing the street and fled. The crash happened around 6:30 a.m. at Broadway and Fair Lawn Parkway, near a local Dunkin' Donuts.

The 47-year-old woman and 5-year-old child were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Their current conditions were not confirmed in the initial report.

Investigators have not released details about the vehicle involved in the wreck. The Bergen County Prosecutor's Fatal Accident Task Force is leading the investigation into the hit-and-run.
