New Jersey Car Wrecks

Bloomfield, NJ - Garden State Pkwy Scene of Injury Wreck near Bloomfield AveIt is never easy to sustain injuries in a car crash. Usually, the injuries suffered by crash victims are severe and sometimes even devastating. These injuries may force them into the hospital where they have to spend weeks or longer recovering. Additionally, they must endure medical care that can be expensive and exhausting. In the United States, the average cost of recovering from a car crash injury in the hospital can range in the tens of thousands of dollars. Unfortunately, this is more than the average American citizen can afford.

Yearly, the United States sees more than 6 million auto accidents that injure around 3 million people and take the lives of tens of thousands. Alarmingly, almost 100% of these car crashes are caused by the actions of negligent drivers, according to information provided by the National Highway Traffic Safety Association. The most prevalent form of negligent driving displayed by American drivers today is distraction. Driver distraction is behind around 400,000 auto accidents per year, and more than 3,000 deaths.

We operate vehicles so often that we do not usually consider the inherent dangers of doing so. Americans often engage in dangerous and distracting behavior while behind the wheel, because driving is almost second nature to most of us. For example, most newly made vehicles come with built-in screens. However, looking anywhere else other than the road in front of you can prove to be extremely dangerous and even fatal.
