Branchburg, NJ – Motorcyclist Killed in Crash on Rt 202 S near Holland Brook Rd
Branchburg, NJ (July 21, 2022) – A motorcyclist lost their life and another driver sustained serious injuries in an accident that occurred in Branchburg on Wednesday, July 19. Emergency crews went to the crash site at around 3:34 p.m.
When crews arrived on-site, they found the driver of the motorcycle, who was identified as a 24-year-old Raritan Township member. The man had extensive injuries and later lost his life due to their severity.
A minivan was also involved in the crash, the driver of which was injured and identified as a 33-year-old Flemington woman. She was stuck in her vehicle at the scene and rescued by EMTs and fire crews. She was then taken to a nearby hospital to be treated for her injuries.
Due to the extent of the incident, Route 202 South from Old York Road through Whiton Road was closed with the assistance of the New Jersey Department of Transportation.
Traffic was restored in the area just before 8:00 a.m.
Police in Branchburg continue to investigate the details of the crash.
