Bronx, NY – Gleason Ave Scene of Injury Scooter Crash near Bronx Expwy
Bronx, NY (August 21, 2023) – An injury pedestrian crash happened in the Bronx on the afternoon of August 21. At around 2:15 p.m. on Monday, emergency responders went to the scene of the accident on Gleason Avenue.
Reports from local sources show the incident occurred on Gleason Avenue near the Bronx Expressway. Police responded to the scene along with paramedics after receiving reports concerning an injured person at the scene.
EMS treated the injured victim, who was riding a scooter when they were struck by a vehicle at the intersection. The vehicle that struck the scooterist fled the scene without stopping.
Authorities in the Bronx continue to investigate the details of the accident.
