Whiting, NJ – One Injured, Airlifted After Being Saved From Structure Collapse in Fox Hollow
Whiting, NJ (July 19, 2022) – Fire crews from the Whiting Fire Company were able to rescue a victim from the remains of a shed collapse in the Fox Hollow area of Manchester on Sunday, July 17th.
According to sources, at about 1:25 p.m., Station 33 responded to the scene for reports of a structure collapse.
Upon their arrival, the Whiting Fire Company Station 33 located a person trapped underneath a collapsed shed. Crews brought saws, rescue airbags, and cribbing to the collapsed structure.
Rescuers worked tirelessly to raise the structure off of the victim and stabilize it. Saws were then used to gain access to the victim. Once they were freed, the patient was then taken to Bowker Field for a Medivac.
No additional details have been released.
