Brooklyn, NY – Chaim Blum, 23, Killed in Pedestrian Crash on 13th Ave near 50th St
Brooklyn, NY (April 7, 2023) – A pedestrian, identified as 23-year-old Chaim Blum, lost his life after he was struck by a car on a roadway in Brooklyn. The crash happened after two vehicles reportedly collided with one another, and then one of them hit him while he was on the sidewalk of 13th Avenue.
Reports show the collision happened near the intersection of 13th Avenue and 50th Street. Blum was on the southeast corner of the intersection when he was struck by a Honda minivan driven by a 27-year-old who was headed east on 50th Street.
The collision hurled the Toyota into Blum, causing serious head/body trauma. He was transported by ambulance to Maimonides Medical Center, where he lost his life.
Both drivers involved in the collision stayed at the scene and cooperated with authorities, who are still investigating the details of the crash.
