Brooklyn, NY (August 17, 2022) – A driver going backward on a street in Crown Heights struck and injured a woman and then fled the scene on Sunday, August 14th. 

The victim, identified only as a 36-year-old woman, was walking across Pacific Street in the area of Buffalo Avenue at about 2:45 p.m. when she was struck by the driver of a 2008 Mercury Mountaineer SUV reversing up Pacific Avenue. The driver sped away from the scene. 

Emergency responders rushed the woman to a local hospital. She is currently listed in critical condition.
