Brooklyn, NY – Peter Tse Killed by Alleged DUI Following Fender-Bender on the Belt Pkwy

Brooklyn, NY (October 11, 2021) – An alleged drunken driver crashed into a police cruiser on the Belt Parkway in Brooklyn on Monday, October 11th. The collision resulted in the death of a driver who was standing on the roadside following a fender-bender. The victim plunged to his death after he was knocked over a roadway median.

The incident took place at about 1:15 a.m. shortly after cops responded to an accident near Exit 15 where the driver of a BMW i8 had rear-ended a Honda Pilot in the westbound lane.

The BMW driver exited his vehicle and was standing off the roadway next to the guardrail when a 2019 Nissan Rogue barreled into the back of the police cruiser, which had its lights activated and was parked directly behind the pair of cars involved in the small accident.

The driver of the Rogue kept going, shoving the man over the median and into oncoming traffic. The victim, who has since been identified as 35-year-old Peter Tse, died at the scene.

The driver of the Nissan, 35-year-old Audrey Edmond, was charged with manslaughter, driving while intoxicated, and speeding.

The 55-year-old woman who was driving the Honda was unharmed during the accident.

We would like to offer our deepest condolences to the family of the deceased victim, Mr. Peter Tse, at this time.

Wrongful Deaths in Brooklyn

Brooklyn, NY - Peter Tse Killed by Alleged DUI Following Fender-Bender on the Belt Pkwy

Wrongful death is a phrase defining an accident during which one person dies due to someone else’s carelessness or negligence, or due to someone else inflicting deliberate harm.

Our New York wrongful death attorneys have assisted the families of hundreds of these kinds of victims. We recognize the devastating reality of these cases. Losing someone you love to the negligent acts of another party is a singularly distressing experience; one for which the law offers a legal remedy.

Claims of wrongful death are brought against parties who are responsible for someone’s death through either negligence or malfeasance. These claims provide the deceased’s family or their estate with a tool for bringing a suit against the individual deemed liable for the death.

If an injured person who ultimately dies due to another’s negligence would have been entitled to file a personal injury claim had they survived, then a wrongful death suit is most likely applicable to the situation.
