Brooklyn, NY – Turning Driver Fatally Strikes Rahel Guindi on Ocean Pkwy at Ave UNY/NJ Legal News
Brooklyn, NY (September 28, 2021) – A driver making a turn struck two pedestrians, killing one and injuring the other, on Tuesday, September 28th in Brooklyn.
At about 11:00 a.m., 90-year-old Rahel Guindi was crossing Ocean Parkway at Avenue U, just two blocks away from her Gravesend home, when a woman driving a Subaru Forester heading eastbound on Avenue U attempting to make a lefthand turn onto Ocean Parkway hit Guindi and a 61-year-old woman.
Guindi was transported by ambulance to Maimonides Medical Center. She was pronounced dead a short while later.
The 61-year-old victim was also transported to Maimonides where she is listed in stable condition.
The driver stayed at the scene.
This accident is under investigation.
