East Brunswick, NJ - Giuseppe Zuccarello Loses Life in Hit & Run Crash on NJ Turnpike near Milepost 78.8

East Brunswick, NJ (August 25, 2023) - A man identified as Giuseppe Zuccarello, age 78, of Whitestone, lost his life in a hit-and-run crash in East Brunswick. Sources say the incident happened at around 10:45 p.m. on August 25.

Responders with the New Jersey State Police and EMS were seen rendering aid at the wreck scene the next morning at around 8:30 a.m. Reports show that Zuccarello was struck by a vehicle outside his Isuzu box truck on the northbound shoulder of the New Jersey Turnpike. 

That vehicle fled the scene without stopping to render aid. Police in East Brunswick continue to investigate the circumstances of the collision.
