Evesham, NJ – Pedestrian Critically Injured by Drunk Driver at Kings Grants Dr and E. Coventry Cr
Evesham, NJ (October 27, 2022) – On Tuesday, October 25th, Evesham police used a hood ornament that was left behind in a hit-and-run accident that left a 51-year-old man critically injured to find and arrest the intoxicated driver.
The pedestrian crash took place in the area of East Coventry Circle and Kings Grants Drive at about 12:40 p.m. The pedestrian was taken by ambulance to a local hospital. He is currently listed in critical but stable condition.
Using a hood emblem found at the scene, officers located the vehicle involved in the collision. Surveillance video of the area enabled them to track down the driver, a 25-year-old woman from Vineland, who was arrested less than a half-mile from the accident site.
She was charged with knowingly leaving the scene of a motor vehicle resulting in serious injury and driving while intoxicated.
