Howell, NJ – Vehicle Crash on Southard Ave Injures Two

Howell, NJ (November 17, 2022) – Two men are in the hospital following a vehicle crash between a pickup truck and a car on Thursday, November 10th in Monmouth County. 

At about 8:00 p.m., the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office and officers from the Howell Township Police Department responded to reports of a two-vehicle collision on Southard Avenue, in the area of Manassa Road, in Howell Township.  

Upon arrival, emergency responders found that a Ford F150 pickup truck, driven by a 64-year-old from Jackson, and a Ford Focus hatchback driven by a 25-year-old from Howell, had been involved in an accident. 

The pickup driver was flown by medical helicopter to Jersey Shore Regional Medical Center in Neptune for treatment of severe injuries. The driver of the Ford was transferred by ambulance to a local hospital. 

As of Friday, both men are still hospitalized in stable condition.

The circumstances behind the vehicle crash are under investigation by the police, the prosecutor’s office, and the Monmouth County Serious Collision Analysis Response Team.
