Can Minor Crash Injuries Still Carry Real Costs in Oxford, NJ? Injuries Reported in Two-Vehicle Crash on Pequest Rd in Oxford, NJ

In Warren County, two-lane roads like Pequest Road see steady traffic that moves through rural stretches between towns, and crashes on these roads are not always minor in their aftermath, even when initial injuries appear to be. Soft tissue damage, whiplash, and joint injuries usually go undetected at the scene, only surfacing in the days that follow.

One of the most practical steps to take is to seek medical evaluation after any crash, regardless of how you feel at the moment. When injuries do appear later, it matters to document them promptly. Medical records tied closely in time to a crash carry more weight in any future claim than records created weeks afterward.

New Jersey’s no-fault system means your own PIP coverage typically handles initial medical costs. But depending on the extent of your injuries and the policy limits involved, additional options may exist, as for example, a claim against the at-fault driver. A car accident attorney can review the specifics and explain what may apply to your situation.

In New Jersey, the statute of limitations to fill a personal injury claim after a car accident is two years from the date of the crash. If you miss that deadline, it usually means to lose the right to seek compensation through the courts, regardless of how strong the case may be. Two years can pass quickly, particularly when someone is focused on recovery. This is why it is advisable to seek legal guidance as soon as possible.
