Long Island, NY – Seven Car Pileup Causes Six to Become Injured on Jerusalem Ave near Newbridge Rd

Long Island, NY (May 26, 2023) – Six people suffered injuries, some of them children, in a seven-car pileup on Long Island on Thursday, May 25. Reports show the wreck happened when a tractor-trailer clipped a school bus and lost control in North Bellmore. 

The truck sideswiped numerous vehicles before it flipped over in a parking lot near Jerusalem Avenue and Newbridge Road. Authorities say no children were on the school bus at the time of the crash. 

The kids who did sustain injuries were in passenger vehicles. Four adults also sustained injuries. All victims were transported to the hospital for treatment and are expected to survive. 

Video footage from the crash site shows approximately six vehicles stopped at strange angles in the intersection, all of which seemed to have sustained varying damage. One of them was wrapped around a pole, sources said.
