Winslow Township, NJ (July 10, 2026) – On Thursday night, July 9, a car struck and killed a man on the White Horse Pike. The wreck happened around 10:30 p.m. in the eastbound lanes near Pastore Orchards.
The Winslow Township Police and emergency units arrived and found the man lying in the road, where he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver who struck him stayed and cooperated with the ongoing inquiry.
Investigators continue to piece together what led up to the crash, and the investigation remains active.
Our deepest sympathy goes out to the man's family as they cope with this devastating loss.

Families who lose someone in a pedestrian fatality tend to face funeral and burial costs, lost future income the person would have earned, and the loss of guidance and companionship that person provided. These losses can affect a household well beyond the immediate aftermath of the crash.
New Jersey law gives families two years from the date of a loved one's passing to file a wrongful death claim under the state's Wrongful Death Act.
New Jersey also allows a separate survival action, brought on behalf of the deceased person's estate, to recover for pain and expenses that existed between the crash and the time of death.
A wrongful death lawyer can help families determine whether both a wrongful death claim and a survival action apply to their situation. A lawyer can also help gather evidence, such as witness statements, before it becomes harder to obtain.
At Metro Law, we understand the uncertainty that families face after the loss of a loved one. If you have questions about your case, our team can go over how New Jersey's wrongful death act may work for your situation and how to proceed.
