Manchester Twp, NJ (December 16, 2025) – A multi-vehicle collision at a busy Manchester Township intersection sent one driver to the hospital on Monday, December 15, and left several others shaken, according to local authorities.
Police responded around 4:30 p.m. to the intersection of County Route 571 and Commonwealth Boulevard. Officers arrived to find four vehicles damaged and blocking multiple lanes at the intersection.
Investigators determined that a 2007 Mazda 3 was travelling eastbound on Route 571 with a green traffic signal. At the same time, a 2020 GMC Acadia attempted a left turn onto Commonwealth Boulevard and failed to yield. The Mazda struck the rear passenger side of the GMC during the turn.
After the initial impact, the Mazda spun out of control and collided with a westbound 2026 Honda HR-V, causing front-end damage. The GMC then rotated onto Commonwealth Boulevard and struck a 2023 Kia Telluride, which sustained minor damage.
The Mazda driver, a 31-year-old New Egypt resident, reported leg pain but declined medical treatment at the scene. The GMC driver, a 68-year-old Manchester resident, did not report injuries.
The Kia driver, a 36-year-old Manchester resident, had a four-year-old child in the vehicle. Police confirmed that neither the driver nor the child suffered injuries.
The Honda driver, a 68-year-old Manchester resident, complained of chest, back, and leg pain following the crash. Emergency medical personnel transported her to Community Medical Center, where doctors treated injuries described as not life-threatening.
Manchester Township police continue to review the circumstances surrounding the crash, and the investigation remains ongoing.
