Manhattan, NY – Car Crashes into Inwood Bar & Grill, Injures Over 20 People

Manhattan, NY (January 3, 2022) – A vehicle crashed into a restaurant in upper Manhattan Monday, January 2, injuring at least 20 people. Thankfully, no one suffered life-threatening injuries. 

Sources say the incident occurred on Broadway near 204th Street in Inwood. Reports show two vehicles collided when one lost control and collided into the front end of a restaurant. 

A 10-year-old girl was among the worst injured, suffering a broken leg in the accident. Authorities report the driver of the vehicle that slammed into the restaurant fled the scene.

The other vehicle’s driver remained on-site and cooperated with authorities. He was identified as an uber driver who suffered injuries along with his passenger. 

Authorities are still working to determine what caused the accident.
