Queens, NY – Auto Accident with Injuries on the Van Wyck Expwy at Atlantic Ave
Queens, NY (January 17, 2023) – A car crash happened in Queens on the evening of January 17 that required an emergency response. At approximately 7:50 p.m., emergency crews were dispatched to the scene of the accident on the Van Wyck Expressway.
Reports indicate the incident occurred near Atlantic Avenue on the Van Wyck Expressway. Vehicles crashed in the southbound lanes and caused injuries and damages.
At this time, the extent of the injuries caused by the collision has not been reported. Traffic was stopped back to the Grand Central Parkway while emergency responders worked in the area.
Local motorists were urged to use alternate travel routes while the crash site was occupied by responders. Police in Queens are still investigating the details of the incident.
