Manhattan, NY (July 12, 2024) – A fire resulted in injuries in Manhattan on July 12. At approximately 11:23 a.m. that day, the incident occurred on the 8th floor of an apartment building on West 132nd Street. Dispatchers reported the blaze happened in the 16-story building that has a daycare center on the first floor. Additional EMS units were requested at the scene in order to help with the injured victims.

Fire crews worked diligently to extinguish all visible flames in the apartment. Two people reportedly suffered injuries and were taken to the hospital for treatment. Their names have not been reported at this time. Police continue to investigate the incident.
