Marmora, NJ – Victim Extricated, Airlifted After Car Accident on Garden State PkyNY/NJ Legal News
Marmora, NJ (November 08, 2021) – Emergency crews were dispatched to the scene of a rollover accident on the Garden State Parkway on Sunday, November 7th morning at about 5:00 a.m.
The Marmora Volunteer Fire Company along with the Upper Township Division of EMS and AtlantiCare paramedics were on the scene of a vehicle collision in the northbound lanes of the Garden State Parkway near milepost 26.
Upon their arrival, responders discovered one of the vehicles flipped over the guardrail with one person trapped inside. Fire crews worked to stabilize the vehicle and began removing the roof using the jaws of life and various battery-operated and hand-held tools to extricate the victim for EMS.
A helicopter was requested to fly the patient to a trauma center. Seaville Fire and Rescue managed the landing zone.
All units were cleared about 6 am with no injuries to first responders. The New Jersey State Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
